Stagecoach bumped up fares by 20 or 30p around here a month ago. FEC's fare rises are a total joke once again, no wonder everyone does their best not to use them.

I think that is Firstgroup's plan of action..Run the company into the ground, so that it gets nationalised!

Metro weekly and monthly tickets; does first recieve any money when you use one of those, or is it a fixed sum metro pays to first every month?

Q. Why are you doing this?

A. When asked, many people have told us that they want our prices to be simpler - so we've listened! By making our fares simpler we hope more people will hop on their local First service, taking more cars off the road and making travelling better for everyone in Leeds!

I doubt they said that, I think it would have been more like: many people have told us that they want our prices to be cheaper Wink

Heres one thing I don't get, how can bus fares be complicated? You get on, tell the driver where you are going and he/she tells you how much it is. Simples.

It doesn't work like that in Leeds. They get on, tell you how much it is, you have to ask where they're going, they tell you, then you tell them how much it is.

Bless 'em
