First Norwich changes

First have pulled off route 50 Norwich - Sheringham

From Sunday 26th September we will be making some changes to the services within Norwich and the surrounding area The majority of these changes are minor and have been introduced to further improve our punctuality. Below you will find a brief description of the changes to each service.

Services 9/9A
A revised timetable will be in operation.

Services 10/10B
A revised timetable will be in operation.

NEW SERVICE 11
New 15 minute service to replace services 21/22 in Sprowston. Service will operate along the same route and utilise the same City Centre stops, Red Lion Street Stand 3 & Castle Meadow Stand F.

Services 12/12A/12B
A revised route and timetable will be in operation. Frequency to Thorpe End, New Rackheath & Salhouse increased to every 30 minutes. Journeys to/from Stalham will operate hourly as normal with new 12A journeys operating direct between Stalham & Wroxham to provide a service to Hoveton.

Services 13/14/14A/14B/15/15A
A revised timetable will be in operation.

Services 16/16A
A revised timetable will be in operation and the route will be extended to cover more of the Queens Hills estate in Costessey. Service 16A on evenings & Sundays will only operate from the City Centre to Old Catton. Evening and Sunday services to Queens Hills will be provided by the new 19A service that operates via Costessey.

Services 17/17A
A revised route & timetable will be in operation. Services will no longer serve the Northern section of Broadland Business Park, but will instead serve the Southern section by operating via Old Chapel Way. The new timetable will also see some later journeys back into the City from the Business Park.

Service 18
A revised timetable will be in operation. Buses will now wait out their time at the end of Manor Road, then proceed on to serve Porter Road & St Leger.

Services 19/19A/20
A revised route & timetable will be in operation. These services have been altered to provide a direct link to the new Roundwell Medical Centre from both Old & New Costessey, as well as providing a service to the new development at Lodge Farm, Costessey.
Service 19 will serve New Costessey whilst Service 20 will serve Old Costessey. Services will no longer operate in a clockwise/anti clockwise loop around Costessey. Evening & Sunday services will be provided by the 19A & 20 which will see the 19A extended to serve Queens Hills.

Services 21/22
In order to improve punctuality we have split these services in the City Centre. Sprowston will be served by the new Service 11. Services 21/22 will still operate every 10 minutes along the same route, apart from the City Centre. Services will operate via Bank Plain serving the City Centre stops at Bank Plain, Castle Meadow Stand V and Theatre Street. An earlier journey into the City has also been provided.

Service 23
A revised timetable will be in operation. This service will be reduced to hourly, operating on the opposite side of the hour to Anglian Bus. Journeys will also terminate in the Bus Station Stand 11 rather than St Stephens Street.

Services 24/24A
A revised route & timetable will be in operation. Service 24A will operate as previously to the Heartsease Roundabout then via Plumstead Road East and Thunder Lane to Spinney Road, then again as previously operated via Booty Road to Sainsburys.

Services 25/35
A revised timetable will be in operation.

Services 26/27
A revised timetable will be in operation.

Services 28/29
A revised timetable will be in operation.

NEW SERVICE 30
This is a new limited stop service that operates from Norwich Rail Station to the University of East Anglia, stopping at Yarmouth Road outside the Rail Station, Castle Meadow Stand W, St Stephens Street Stand D, Newmarket Road Eaton Road Interchange, Eaton Cellarhouse, and a new stop on Bluebell Road at Norvic Drive. This service will operate every 12 minutes Monday to Friday at peak times during University Term Times.

Service 31
No change.

Service 50

Service 52
A revised timetable will be in operation.

Service X1
2 new stopping places have been added to this service within the Norwich boundary. The X1 will now also stop at the Royal Norfolk Showground and at the Newmarket Road, Eaton Road Interchange point.

Service X3
A revised timetable will be in operation. This service will now only operate 2 inbound trips at 07.27 & 09.37 starting from Shipdham and 2 return trips at 15.10 & 17.20 terminating at Shipdham, Monday to Friday only.
